Ambient environment good for chats with your date. Tasty flavours for the dishes we had and very good value on TheFork offer (3 courses for $59). Really enjoyed the entrees: salmon sashimi & lamb cutlet. As well as the mains: steak (although serving size was a bit too small) had a nice Asian style dressing. The blue eye fish fillet was generous and executed well. The only let down were the desserts (white chocolate mousse and chocolate tart) – too heavy and too sweet and didn’t taste that fresh – nothing special.. the other not great thing was their drinks advertised on the menu were cheaper than what we got charged (about 20%)… we didn’t argue it but it wasn’t the right thing they did. Overall was still good value with the offer given what we got served. Friendly although inexperienced, staff.

Small cosy restaurant in cbd and great place for a quick bite or dinner.The puff pizza bread is definitely a must try. The staff is welcoming especially Sumit. Thumbs up for the great customer service!

We love this restaurant, we dined again last night and loved every mouthful of our meals.Sumit and his team are so welcoming, the atmosphere is really nice, just the right lighting.Thank you to the talented chefs for providing such delicious meals.We live in the Blue Mountains but will make the trek to dine at Amber.

So we booked a table over a week ago for Good Friday, then l rang at start of week to make sure we still had table YES they say all good. Then I double checked booking around 5pm today to be told sorry we have no booking for you but we can get you in Great..So 7pm we rock up place order for 3 pizza’s, 1 Hour later l ask what’s going on with our pizza’s they say sorry dough was freeze we are just making then now . I’m like all good cancel it we are leaving..Very disappointed with this restaurant and you weren’t even busy when we arrived. Then offered us a bowl of chips.. Dough shouldn’t be frozen when your price’s are up there.. Definitely not 5 star..

Food is delicious but hard to give a high rating as the experience was diluted by sheer staff botch ups. Everything from not being able to find our booking, to overcharging us; and from missing one of our courses, to forgetting our drinks. 1st staff didn’t even know they had a set menu, and the 2nd staff that came along wasn’t sure how much it cost (89 pp). A shame, because the seasonal set course turned out tasting excellent and should be marketed!Tho one dish had obviously been botched (burst egg yolk centerpiece) and should never have been presented to the customer like that. I should say at least the staff all had bright positive attitudes and that helped…

First time ever dining in this restaurant in the city, I must say that it has a lovely quiet atmosphere. Food was delicious and portion was satisfying. Waiter named Sumit provided us an amazing service! Thanks for the great experience & would definitely come back for dinner!
