A very ambient restaurant, it was warm and inviting. The steak was delicious and tender, the sauce it came with wasn’t to our taste though. The swordfish was great, the barramundi also delicious. As expected with fine dining that the portions were not as filling, and the prices are on the higher end so beware. We ordered extra bread and French fries to fill us up.

Had the oysters, plancha xl yamba prawns, rib eye, tenderloin, mignardise plate, expresso parfait and cocktails.Firstly, the service was so far from fine dining that we were left completely unimpressed. For all other fine dining establishments you should know who ordered what.For all dishes that came out there was no proper explanation as to what dish was what and the plates were just plopped onto the table after being asked who ordered the dish. Same thing with the cocktails…… I actually didn’t know if I even received the correct drink tbh!Asked for the rib eye medium rare, however it was cooked more towards really well done. The desserts were delicious. The oysters were really fresh and the fries were fantastic.In addition to this the waiter was not friendly whatsoever. Either way, I don’t think we will come here again just based on service alone.

My wife and I were meeting my younger sister in sydney for a short getaway. We had dinner at Atelier at Sofitel Darling Harbour. It was a good experience and we had good service from Kameron our server for the evening. The food was generally european style for sharing as well as mains. We ordered 3 mains, one entree and 2 desserts for sharing. All were good and we hope to come back in future. We were given a corner window seat which was blocked from the views of darling harbour though fairly cosy

To be honest I liked the barramundi there but I didn’t like the waiter that served us. All other staff were nice but the waiter seemed grumpy and was very reluctant to accommodate our requests. Does it meet our expectation of a restaurant in a 5 star hotel? Maybe not.

We were expecting far higher quality dining for the price we paid at Atelier. Our two main dishes were served cold, the side dishes lacked flavour, our waiter was rude and questioned our wine choice for our meal, the quality of the food was very average, and the service of the waiting staff was poor. The whole service from start to finish was rushed when we simply wanted to relax and enjoy our dinner. There’s certainly better restaurants in Sydney to go out for a nice evening meal. The ambience and interior of the restaurant was lovely, but that was the extent of the good experience.

great food and service. really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant as well.The starters with fresh fish were delicious long with the crab tart. Wasn’t a big fan of the sauces included with the duck and steak. both very bitter, but may just be a taste preference :)overall enjoyed the experience
