Thought I’d treat myself to thai..Should have read reviews online first.Spring rolls- Barely fried and contents liquified inside..could not eat.Chicken Pad Thai- A congealed mass of noodles with no sauce and boiled chicken.Completely inedible.DO NOT EAT HERE!

I’ve visited Townsville a number of times and had pretty ordinary meals until tonight when I ate at Bountiful Thai. The Red Duck curry was superb. The duck was really tender and it was a generous serve and the Prawn Pad Thai was also one of the best I’ve ever tasted.

We ordered basil chicken and satay chicken with steamed Jasmine rice. Both meals were full of fresh, crispy vegetables and the taste was good. Satay did not have the thick, peanut sauce I was expecting, but it still tasted like satay. Meals were around $17 each which was reasonable. Restaurant decor is pretty dated- plastic table cloths, but the service was efficient and I’d eat here again.

Instead of stirefry, I call this steam fry, steam vegetables, with some tasteless poach beef on top, no flavour, the fry rice is very average, as the other guy say, I should read the reviews first

The food is good if you want to have an asian dish. But it is not real authentic thai food…The tofu satay and the noodle soup is very good! As a dessert try the coconut rice it is delicious. You get a big portion and it is sweet!

Ran there last minute food cooked in 5 minutes and absolutely delicious, packed with fresh chicken and perfectly cooked vegetables. Absolutely would go back. Sorry no photo ate it too fast because it was so good
