Checkers Pizza is a fantastic little pizzeria with alfresco dining. The staff are so welcoming, and all staff were smiles. The pizzas are all made with fresh prepared toppings and heaps of them. Refer to the attached photos of two of the selections.We come to Townsville every year, and this is guaranteed visit from us for one of our evening lunches.

I’m sorry for this, I never post bad reviews, but, this pizza was just no good. Base was dense and soggy. Reminded me of microwave pre made pizzas. My 2 star review is for location and service, which was amazing. Craving good pizza? Go somewhere else

Great value: $20 for a seafood pizza and a Stone & Wood Beer. Pizzas are tasty, with plenty of toppings. Only once have I had an issue with an uneven base that was a bit burnt. So far I would recommend them.

Visiting Townsville for the weekend, called ahead to order 2 pizzas, I asked what the wait time was and the girl said 20-30 minutes. When I arrived I went to the counter to pay. There was mass confusion, was told, sorry but I can’t find your order! I asked the girl, so what can we do about it? To be told nothing, im sorry. Not what you want to hear with a wife and toddler back at the room waiting to be fed so we can get bedtime underway!Never coming back here again. Ended up going to Tony’s on Kennedy Street, better service and I imagine better pizza!

Took the money but didn’t deliver the food the delivery driver needs to be sacked and go back home were it come from. So yeah I got a real good service from the so called pizza shop WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BETTER OFF THROWING YA MONEY AWAY

Disappointing food and poor service for my first visit. Placed a phone order an hour before collecting, confirmed pick-up time. Arrived and waited another 25 mins while I kept being told 5 more mins. Pizza was average and was more sauce than toppings.
