Our first visit to Chico Rio and we had the full buffet, as a belated joint birthday dinner. Manbeast has declared it his new favourite place! Super friendly and attentive servers, and a great variety of BBQ and side dishes. We started early, at 6pm, so we’re able to get into the groove of things before it got busy, and use of the meat traffic light stick thingamabob to slow down the offerings is a must. Also don’t be shy, you can take more than 1 piece from the skewer, or ask for one dish specifically to be brought to you. Favourites were the super juicy pineapple, garlic beef and bacon wrapped chicken. Manbeast was also a fan of the bbq pork, and the black bean and bacon, and potato salad side dishes. The Brazilian blueberry soda was delicious, and we already have our eyes on the cocktail menu for our next visit. There was a slight snafu with my 2nd garlic bread side not coming out, but the Manbeast happily received another bowl of beans instead, and it turns out I was already too full and wouldn’t have done the super crunchy garlic bread any justice. I wasn’t put out, as I could have just asked for it again. Only minor cons, but will still mention them for sale of completeness. The crockery was a bit worn (buffet battle scars), and the knife in the table cutlery was blunter than a butter knife. Table was a bit wobbly. A couple of pieces of meat were dry, closer to the centre of the skewer, and a couple of pieces I lucked into a fatty/gristle lump. I just left them on the side of my plate and moved on to the next meaty offering.Vegetarian options: Probably not the best place to go if you are a vego. Limited vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: I saw a high chair available to use, and there is a kids menuParking: We parked in the Council carpark across the road, which is free outside of 9-5 weekdaysWheelchair accessibility: There is a sharp step up to the restaurant. Terrible service!!! The staff could not find my reservation, but we were seated promptly. We were the second table in the restaurant but waited over an hour for our first side dish to be served. Even worse, we watched as other people, that came in well after us, were served the same thing we ordered. We became tired of the excessive wait for food we paid for and opted to receive our remaining order as takeaway. When we finally received what should have been six cheese buns, it was actually three cheese buns and some garlic bread (see photo). They did not care about us and it was hard to get their attention to order food, then the order would come out wrong. Another example, my wife ordered heart of palm and they brought out salsa. I would absolutely avoid this place if you care about receiving basic customer service.

Fantastic experience! The food is delicious, unlimited meat 🥩 and sides is awesome and the most impressive is the customer service! The staff are friendly, attentive, proactive and efficient. John could really read my mind every time I thought about asking for something, he would offer before I could ask. Mareesha is super nice and friendly. She has a su relax vibe! I love it 💓They all made us feelwelcome! My partner and I love this place already. It was our first time and we will definitely be back!Thanks (Obrigada) Chico Rio! 🇧🇷!Ps: The only downside was the poor air conditioning and the fans were not working tonight. Have been multiple times. The food is consistent. The large meat skewers, which just keep coming back time and again, makes you drool and the choices, well scrumptious. Then there are the sides, favourites are the crumbed banana, cinnamon pineapple and the black beans…There are several menu options, go the “all you can eat” for a belly full of great food…

I’d say food is just below average. Meat came out pretty slowly and some tasted quite old. Sides are very average. Can’t complain too much though as it’s buffet.Service was well above average, the servers were awesome.

For sure I will not come back and I advise everyone to check the hygiene before go and eat. The toilets were covered in mould ( doors, walls, mirrors…..)everything very dirty and the kitchen floor was extremely dirty as well……I wonder about the hygiene for food preparation …… The rump cap was good and few others meat as well but not really like a Brazilian style. The crumbed banana was discussing….and the halloumi cheese also very bad because they deep fry. The palm heart salad only had one transparent slice of the palm….better not to put it because you can’t even taste it. It was a very bad and disappointed experience.
