Posting this review late as we went to Cucina Porto on Valentine’s Day and had their Valentine’s special dishes, but still wanted to share our experience. Overall, we had a good time! The food was pricey ($163 for 2 people) and it is not the best Italian restaurant out there, but the vibe was pleasant, the staff was friendly, and the food was still tasty! I also found the place quite nice, simple but classy! The only dish we took that wasn’t part of the Valentine’s Day specials is the Capricciosa pizza. It was decent. From the dishes we had, I would recommend the pasta over the pizza as the lobster pasta we got was pretty good!

Very happy with my visit here! Came here for an anniversary dinner and we were running late due to traffic, so we called and they were very understanding and accomodating! Nevertheless, food was exceptional and the wine list was amazing! I highly recommend for a more casual eating experience at The Star!

Flavours were great but the quality of cooking threw me off. Several bits of pasta were undercooked (more than Al dente, you could still see white hard bits when you cut it in half) which made it unpleasant to eat. Service was also just okay, waited nearly 20 mins between entrees and mains (even had to follow up with our server). This place came highly recommended and I hope this was a once-off experience for me. If I’m in the area again, I would give it another chance.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and respect. Raul was incredibly attentive and friendly, making our Monday catch up lunch a totally enjoyable experience. Now, to the food…. absolutely delicious!! We started with the calamari fritti, followed by pizza. Each pizza was jam packed with flavour. Really, big mention once again to Raul – what a lovely person. Excellent customer service!!

My daughter and I dined at Cucina Porto last night prior to watching Mary Poppins.Booked a 5:30pm seating which was lucky as the restaurant soon became very busy at about 6pm. Food was great – we ordered the gnocchi from the Truffle Season Specials and it was devine. The other dishes ordered were from the usual ala carte menu and they were equally delicious. The ambience was lovely with slightly dimmed lighting. Seating was nicely spaced out, there was a communal table for single seating or people grabbing a quick bite and a couple of booths which were great for people with younger kids. Waitstaff were attentive and if I had to fault it, there was only the wait between entrees and mains (bit lengthy) that bothered me – made me follow up as we didn’t want to be held up for our 7pm show. All in all, a great dining experience. Can get a bit pricey for a casual dining experience but definitely flavoursome. 😊👌🏾

From the service to the food. It was a great dining experience. Our group of 10 adults and 4 kids thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The 4 cheese pizza was a stand out favourite. The pastas were yummy.

Our server Tim was super polite and energetic! The pizza (mushroom) and pasta (ragu) we tried was also very tasty! The tiramisu was creamy and had a strong coffee flavour
