An delightful experience dining in essa for my partner birthday. The food was tasty and flavourful. The beef skewers were cooked well with a lovely charred taste and marinated with sweet like sauce. Our favourite dish of the night, surprisingly, was the dessert; Jerusalem artichoke cream bun. The bun was light with slight crunch and artichoke cream made the perfect flavour. The Jerusalem artichoke is a must try

I cannot say enough good words about this restaurant except that one has to try it. Each of their dishes are crafted with a special touch that make it slightly different than what you would find elsewhere. All the dishes I ordered are perfect in terms of flavoring, seasoning, freshness and texture. The chefs are masters.

what a magnificent dining experience. We’ve not long arrived back in Australia after living abroad for almost a decade and this was by far the best food we have experienced in this country. There is a focus on quality produce prepared simply. There wasn’t a dish we didn’t love here but the semolina gnocchi was absolutely divine and like all the dishes, you could taste all of the ingredients individually while also experiencing the way they came together so magically. The wine selection was great and the sommelier seemed very passionate giving great recommendations which complemented the food wonderfully. The ambience is perfect, dark and moody. We sat at the bar and I would choose to sit here again. The staff were really friendly, knowledgable and supported the kitchen beautifully. I found them to be very warm and natural, not over the top but at the same time nothing was overlooked. I would highly recommend Essa. We found the price accurately reflected the quality and wonderful experience.

Great dinner, the meal flowed nicely and everything was very good. Service was good, but not exceptional. They just didn’t take it to the next level. Desserts were the highlights for me.

Stunning food, and such knowledgeable friendly staff. A lovely atmosphere, tucked away just off the main road. Recommend the Sunday school session with set menu. Definitely planning to return for an upcoming birthday soon. Never tasted anything like it.

Food is very fresh and lovely prepared. The taste is leaning toward light and fresh. If you want food with a lot of flavors or heavy food, then it might not be for you. A lot of dishes are vegetable only, so very good for vegetarians.
