What a great experience enjoyed at Garfish.Many seafood restaurants are pretentious – decorating their fancy food in a rarefied atmosphere.Whilst Garfield isn’t a casual fish n chips joint – there is an accessibility which eludes other restaurants.Good food is meant to be enjoyed in welcoming environment.Garfield excels in this area. Presenting delicious food that is as appealing to the eye as the mouth.Well worth a visit.

Lovely ambience and delicious food! We had a bunch of different dishes and used share plates so all of us could have a taste of everything. My personal favourite were the scallops, and the curry. The other dishes were quite good as well. Only thing I would change next time is the fish pie. The taste was good, but I felt it was a bit less special compared to the other dishes.

Had a truely amazing experience at Garfish today. Had been planning to visit the place for quite some time.The food, drinks and service were awesome. Zucchini flowers, chargrilled prawns, Sri Lankan curry and the last but not the least, sticky date pudding, all were delicious. Kudos to the chefs and management.

There are so many restaurants in Crown Nest but we decided to give it a try with Garfish, to be safe we chose the most basic: grilled fish and chips. Absolutely disappointed with the food. Not worth the money. Never ever come back.With all of my experience with fish and chips around Australia’s states, from restaurants to truck foods – to be honest sad to say I don’t think your fish and chips deserved a restaurant standard.

We hadn’t been to Garfish since the start of the pandemic and were excited to return. The dining experience was top notch. It was a cold night and we were kept warm with the outdoor lamps. The staff were professional, friendly, attentive and keen to give us menu recommendations. And the food was just amazing! We loved the chargrilled chermoula king prawns & the grilled hokkaido scallops. As the occasion was a long overdue catchup with girlfriends, we stayed there till quite late, so we’d like to say a big thanks to the restaurant for accomodating this.
