Great selection of art and a brilliant way to spend a couple of hours. The gift shop also has some classics with unique covers which can be hard to find anywhere else. Reasonably priced too. Loved visiting, would definitely go back again ☺️

Great museum and we’ll worth stopping past. We visited outside a peak exhibition, so would think it would be even better during an exhibition. Spacious and well curated. Will definitely head back when an exhibition is on. Update: definitely even more spectacular during a major exhibition.

Came here mostly for The Soul Trembles. Highly recommend the exhibition before it leaves in October 2022. Truly a breathtaking experience. Incredibly eerie and beautiful and sad and jarring and graceful and please go see it. Left me truly depressed which might have been the point. It was gorgeous. The rest of the gallery is also lovely and we’ll curated. I am especially enamored with a certain perturbing elongated furby. Lovely little gallery. Was a joy to peruse.

This cafe has a lovely aspect as it faces the river. The service is OK – not great but not bad either. There were hardly any customers but the table we were directed to hadn’t been wiped down. After 3pm you need to be ok with takeaway cups and plates to allow them to close by 4. We had coffee which was nice and carrot cake which was nice but tasted as though it had been refrigerated too long. Try it out if only for the view.

The closest parking lot to the GOMA was closed in Apr-22, we just found parking in a side street nearby.Very interesting gallery, budget 1 – 1.5 hours to tour the galleries and then a little more for exhibits.

Nice place regardless of weather condition.Specious, clean, modern, changes every few months. Great opportunities for yound artist and groups.Queensland Art Gallery was established in 1895 and moved to its current residence at South Bank in 1982. It was joined by the Gallery of Modern Art in 2006 and the galleries now house a globally significant collection of contemporary art from Australia, Asia and the Pacific.If in Brisbane it’s nice place to visit.
