We spent our one year wedding anniversary here and were so impressed.All the staff were quick, efficient and absolutely lovely to deal with.The food was delicious (we had the duck and the pork as our mains) and we were even offered a complimentary tasting of a dish from the Chef.To top it off the atmosphere and overall setting was a picture of peace, tranquillity and relaxation and the fact that we had no cell reception was even better.We completely disappeared into each other and our food for the night with no distractions.We couldn’t have asked for a better restaurant to celebrate in.

Not impressed. The food may have looked like fine dining and priced like fine dining but made by amateurs or by a chef who just doesn’t care. Overall, it was a disappointment.Starters: We had the octopus and salmon. Both dishes were warm in places but mostly cold. The salmon was slimy. The octopus was tough and the black pasta was still raw in the middle. The octopus was warm in places but the accompanying vegetable and sauce were cold throughout. The charred cold zucchini was watery and with the sauces and juice from the octopus, made the whole dish a sloppy mess.After the let down starters, we had so much hope for the mains. Unfortunately the disappointing experience continued. The duck breast was overdone and tough. The charred broccoli tasted like it was fried in 3 day old oil. The duck jus was too sweet. The sirloin steak, which had so much potential had gristly fat running across the middle.We were planning on ordering desserts too but decided the risk wasn’t worth it and best to cut our losses.

Overall very happy with this much anticipated visit! The highlight of the night for me was the Mooloolaba prawns – tender, juicy, plump, and I loved the fennel and apple ribbons. The lamb was also beautifully cooked, and the duck meat was falling off the bone. The portions were very generous and no complaints at all. The two different cuts of pork on the one plate, however was a bit dry. I would rate the food as 4 stars, but I have to say the service was 5 stars. The waiter offered to help me charge my phone before my trip back to Brisbane and the small gesture made all the difference. Thank you and we will be back again to try the dessert menu too next time.

Eh, we booked here for a lovely lunch and the reviews mentioned the nice view and picturesque setting.The only view we had was of the toilets as we were shunned into the corner of the restaurant despite booking weeks in advance. Service was average as we were out of the way and must have been forgotten. The best thing about the lunch was the bread which unfortunately they don’t make. We had the king fish and the cauliflower both were good but not great. then followed by the steak, asked for medium rare, came out medium well and tough however, the flavours where good. Pork dish was good although the crackle was average it appeared to be done in a pan little burnt and a little not crackly.
