Incredibly tasty food that I highly recommend. We had the sandcrab on betle leaf, lobster dumplings, reef fish, red dragon tofu and greens.Everything had incredible flavour and cooked to perfection.Staff are friendly and welcoming. The restaurant has a ramp making it accessible for all.Overall a thoroughly enjoyable dinner!

Situated at the famous fish lane. Nice place for dinner on Weekdays. Great food, good atmosphere. Fast and friendly service. Clean and well maintained. Highly recommended!!! 🙂

Food tasted okay but overall the dishes are bit overpriced for the portion sizes. We ordered three of the larger plates on the menu for the three of us: Peking Quail $30, Miso Roasted Pumpkin $23, and Mushroom Congee. We were still a bit hungry after cleaning the plates. If you are hungry you’d need to allow a bigger budget when you visit.

Food was fabulous, service was really quick. Staff were really attentive and friendly. High noise level but great if you love the buzz. Book ahead.

We got the baller banquet which was a lot of food for only $60 so great value. It was yummy but nothing outstanding and doesn’t get me rushing back. The Thai red curry was the highlight.

Dinner at Hello Please last night prior to QPAC. One of the most ordinary Asian (claimed) food restaurants I have experienced. Good points were pleasant attentive and focused wait staff and quite fast delivery of food ordered. The good bits finished there. The “background” music was so loud you could hardly talk over it, which was probably good because the table are so close you couldn’t talk privately. The wine list extensively is you wanted it by the bottle. There were, from memory, only three reds offered by the glass and no shiraz offered. The food came one dish at a time and the rice last with the greens, well after the meat/fish dishes. The portion sizes were exceedingly small with the crab betel very accurately described as a small dish. The pricing however didn’t match the portion size! Very disappointing as I really enjoy Asian, particularly Vietnamese food. I’ll just stick with the many other high quality Asian restaurants in the area. Not Hello Please rather Goodbye Thanks!

I came here because I am a huge fan of bao and wanted to try their eggplant katsu bao. Hello Please easily takes the title of “Worst Baos in Brisbane”. The baos itself are cold, soggy, flavourless and rather than the large, fluffy bun folded over the filling which they show in their product picture you get this tiny blob of dough that is cut in half. I don’t know if they make them themselves but I bet they just thaw them since they don’t taste fresh at all. Not much to say about the filling since the egg plant katsu doesn’t have much flavour at all and the bit of salad they slap on there neither. The only thing you will notice is the sauce. I have no idea where they were going with this but it just tastes sour. And not in a zesty kind of way but rather with a flavour that reminds me of throwing up on an empty stomach. Most shockingly, the two small baos shown in the picture plus a small soft drink (which was 80% ice) cost me a whooping $19!!! That should be the price for a very decent large lunch with high-quality ingredients. This “dish” plus drink is worth half of that tops. Good thing my husband had cooked when I came home because even as a small woman in my 20s this did not fill me up and I expect a man would have to spend around $40-50 for a full meal here. Extremely disappointing and won’t be back.
