Hugely disappointing. We were looking for a nice cafe to kick start our road trip holiday and went with this place based on ratings. We ordered eggs benny and omelette (both $18 a pop). The presentation left a lot to be desired. My husband’s eggs benny looked like a measly kids meal and you can see the omelette in the photo. Annoyingly the toast was made of processed white bread which flew off the plate with one gust of wind. It tasted ok and we got to sit out in the sun but we wish we’d cooked something at the caravan park now and saved ourselves the $51.Kid-friendliness: Not good for babies. Both high chairs were terrible, one of them far too reclined for baby to sit upright and eat.

I had the chicken mushroom Foccacia and a mango smoothie. The focccia was amazing but the smoothie could have been better. I had it with oat milk but it tasted nothing like mango. Definitely needs work.

Food ok… Service terrible. What happened to the art of service… They take your order, next… Waited 40mins for coffee. People who arrived after us got their coffee first. I went in and asked after about 25mins.. Um, we ordered coffees a little a while ago?? Reply, yes they are coming! Another 15mins or so, we finally get our coffees.. No ‘ sorry for the wait’ nothing. Sorry Homestead, service needs improving!

I drink black coffee, that’s it, nice and simple, I don’t even use sugar in most cases as I enjoy experiencing the coffee for its taste and strength. Firstly, $4.50 for a regular black coffee seems excessive not to mention they used a plastic spoon… Furthermore, there were no glass water bottles with glasses available nor did they offer or provide one with the coffee. For this price you’d expect better service unless you have low expectations though I’ve found Tamworth is still learning about customer service yet they’ve definitely learnt how to overcharge for mediocre coffee. Good coffee here nonetheless, nice location, friendly staff but can be improved considering the cost of a black coffee that wasn’t anything special.

The staff were friendly and quick. The tart seemed a little old and not the best. The coffee was pretty good. Got a plastic spoon which kinda changed the feel of the place a bit.

A popular small cafe/resturant that has the biggest variety of food on their menu as well as daily specials board. I have never had a bad meal there. A little noisy inside when full ( most of the time) but seating outside undercover is pleasant. Reasonable prices.
