Hailing from Sydney we made the 2 hour trip to Nowra as a sort of day trip,/hankering for some great Indian. Me a big fan of their Butter Chicken and my mate for their Beef Vindaloo. Both didn’t disappoint. Great food, ridiculously filling (so full afterwards). Service is friendly and prompt. Airconditioned, and nice plates and branded tumblers which is a nice touch.

Ordered a butter chicken and two naan bread for takeaway. It was 6.15pm and I was told it was a 23 minute wait. I waited for 30 mins and saw people who came after we had got their order. I asked about my order and was told it was coming. The original line I arrived had already disappeared and three other lines appeared but disappeared. I ended up waiting an hour for the food. I don’t understand what preparation time is required for curry…. is it not precooked? Just heat it up and put it in a takeaway box? I was thinking to myself it needs to be the best chicken curry I have ever tasted…. it was authentic… nice chicken pieces. The naan bread was great. I felt sick shortly after eating the food…. I ate only half.. and felt like throwing up. Therefore ended up throwing the rest of the food away. I suggest working on their ordering process and operations management. This was my first night in Nowra and I got sick so I went to sleep early.

We love Kohli’s! The food is always amazing, we have literally NEVER had a bad meal here and have been going monthly for nearly 15 years.The staff are lovely, always very friendly and welcoming.It can get quite noisy at peak times (since the renovation), if this matters to you just request a table near the mirror, it’s much quieter in that corner.

Steven from Kohlis went above and beyond to accommodate our large group, including organising our cake and candles and being flexible and understanding at the last minute. The food was phenomenal, with great portion sizes, and Steven’s service was second to none. Highly recommend this Indian restaurant!

Friendly staff, nice layout and food was nice. Butter chicken was a bit on the spicier side, cheese naans were really good. Quite busy for a Tuesday night, waiter forgot about our papadams even after reminding another server about it, the friendly guy behind the counter wiped it from the order but still handed us a bag of them. Great customer service keep it up.

Went here today for lunch. My family has been loyal to Kohlis for someyears now, Food is always amazing.Unfortunately the head waiter at the front of shop makes it difficult to enjoy the experience here. Today we asked for a window seat to which was rejected because “ we are saving those seats in case we get busy”. One of my family members ordered a coffee to which we were told “ We can’t do that because the coffee machine isn’t turned on”. Our initial drink orders tookover 20 minutes to arrive and second drink orders were received as a member from our table was about to pay for the meal. We also ordered the lunch special to later receive a different meal to what was requested, when asked the staff advised us that this what we ordered.Todays experiencehas resulted in me and my family refusing to return to Kohlis until thereis achange of staff. This is a very disappointing experience at a restaurant that really does produce amazing food. Sad to say goodbye.
