Had Steak and 12hr slow cooked beef Rib. Food was good, no better than a club or RSL. Lychee Mojitio could have had more mint and been muddled abit better but all in all pretty reasonable for the price.Great spot right on the water.

Terrible food poor service . Hilton should be ashamed . It’s rubbish bordering embarrassing . Sticky and rocking tables . Waiters not knowing what’s a lite beer. Just bad all round . Walk elsewhere but don’t stop here

Sunday night meal. Not busy. Sat outside on the grass section. Extensive food menu but generally average both in taste and presentation. Staff pleasant and friendly. In my humble opinion Mondo relies on location rather than food to draw in their crowd. Would I go there again…no.. as there are too many nearby food options offering comparable prices and larger diversity of food. Don’t discount however.

Looks good but isn’t. So I’m not a fan of counter service unless a few basic requirements are followed like salt on the table. Not having to chase down waiters for simple things that should be on every table of a counter service restaurant.Oysters I ordered natural and they weren’t cleaned or prepared properly and I wasn’t give an appropriate utensil to actually eat them. Add that to the fact one had a prawn shell in it and it just keeps going down.Barramundi was over cooked. Prawns were supposedly basted with lemon salt and butter but something did not taste right, either the prawns were off, the butter was or the grill isn’t being cleaned properly.Salt and pepper calamari wasn’t awful but woefully under and over seasoned, salt and pepper respectively. Once I dumped a packet full of salt on it, it was much more balanced.Avoid if you’re going for seafood. I can’t comment on the other offerings.I did not finish my meal. I left hungry.

Lady at bar where you order is a bit angry, bad attitude isn’t good in a work place.Menu needs updating, as half the beers said to be on tap aren’t on tap and others are that aren’t listed.Then asked for a pint and got a 330ml bottle.Also their beer prices are some of the most expensive in Cairns. Avoid to drink here.Food is Good portions (not the share plates the calamari is tiny).The prices should demand table service, nobody wants to get up and go to a bar every time for a drink or food.Oyster deal on weekend is ok. 6 for $9 and 12 for $15.Location is nice.
