Up until maybe two years ago, this place was phenomenal. I decided to go there as I had such good experiences in the past, however, I was quite disappointed by it. The food was just very bland. There was not enough sauce on the noodles we ordered and name with the shepherds purse with peanut and chilli oil. I used to come especially here for these dishes as I felt they cooked them very well but it was ‘okay’ this time round. The service staff are much nice than they used to be, however, you also have to do ordering using a QR code so it felt like a fast food restaurant rather than a regular restaurant.

Went with a large group of friends and ordered a bunch of dishes and none disappointed! Highly recommend the slow braised pork belly, wheat gluten with black mushroom, shanghai noodles with spring onion, shepherd’s purse rice cake stir fry and any of the dimsum.

We came here on the day before Chinese New Year. The price is pricey but the food taste delicious, i think it is worthy. My favourite one is the soft pork belly and squid with salted egg. Although the place wasn’t busy, unfortunately it is a little bit difficult to find the waitress if we need something, since they weren’t always around.

One of the best dumpling makers in Sydney. Worth eating here, worth walking in.New Shanghai’s interior shouts luxury but their food is very authentic. From handmade dumplings to fried rice, they make their food properly.I really enjoyed their pan fried pork dumplings, pork and chive dumplings, Xiaolongbao, fried rice and pork belly bun. Your food will also come to your table very quickly.Good place for business meeting, date, special occasions or even a casual meetups.For these reasons I give this place 4 bears.

Finally back here again after 2yrs. Food is still great. Pot stickers still as juicy that it spurt, but skin is om the thicker side. Xlb is also tasty. Had XO fried rice was still ok i’ll say its borderline. Dumplings was above average.Visited: 27th Apr 2022
