Oya’s Turkish Restaurant BendigoMy partner and daughter have been here twice before but this was my first time.The decor feels a little dated. The table sizes were generous.The place needs a bit more ventilation as once cooking gets underway it can be hard to breathe in there, which isn’t the best.Wait staff are basically non existent as you order up at the counter and they bring it out to you but other than that transaction there is no other service/interaction provided after that.The menu has a good selection of food to choose from, although unfortunately on my visit it was a little over cooked and a little underwhelming.This was just my first time here though and it wasn’t that bad that I wouldn’t come back. I will always give a restaurant 3 chances before I write it off completely.That said, I will add too this review later and recommend you go and try for yourself.If the owners really care about elevating the business to a great restaurant within Bendigo they should address the concerns above and get the staff to be more engaged with customers,just checking everything is alright, do the “eat in” customers need anything. That sort of thing. It’s the small differences that turn a good experience into a great one.

Absolutely beautiful feed, will say was sceptical walking in not sure what to expect. Pleasantly surprised first with the Turkish dips then our kebabs. 100% would return here, yuuum

Food is so good we ate there 3 times over a girls weekend trip. Wish it was in Melbourne. Do check out the arts and crafts they sell too.

Had a beautiful open kebab, having never had one before. The meat was beautiful, the cabbage salad was so fresh and delicious. I loved it! The staff weren’t as friendly as I would have liked but it certainly wouldn’t stop me going back. Wish they were in Melbourne!

Food was nice.. lost stars for not receiving correct order.. First time ordering online and that will be the last time.. arrived on time to then wait a further 40 minutes which is unacceptable… please fix your online ordering system.. I would have been happy to wait at home for that additional 40 minutes with my interstate visitors who i recommend the food to! Instead of being stuffed around, with a I don’t know when it will be ready response.. staff clearly busy, but that’s no excuse for poor customer service, for meals of over $100.

Delicious!! The fresh baked turkish bread was wonderfully soft and fragrant. We ordered the chicken and lamb shish which was tender and juicy. Couldn’t find fault with anything we ordered. Oya and her team are a joy to engage with. Lovely experience. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I have been here twice now and both times great service and delicious food. Recommend the Lamb pizza especially. Well priced and big portions. Highly recommend you try when in the area. 👍👍
