Hands down the BEST CHIPS IN TOWN!!! We ate dinner at Schnitz twice during our recent Cairns trip and both times were fantastic. The location is amazing – right near the Esplanade where you can find all the action on a Friday/ Saturday night. The food and service were also great. Our meals came out quickly and were cooked to perfection. They have great meal and snack options to suit everyone at reasonable prices. I had a snack wrap and small chips while my family had the burger + chips and schnitzel + chips (both of which were massive considering the cost). Will definitely be back as we cannot get enough of the Schnitz chips! SIMPLY THE BEST 🙂

Our first visit into Schnitz Cairns on Saturday evening 19/03/22, placed our order for 2 meals [ Loaded Schnitzel & Chips + one soft drink], first meal served withing 10-15 minutes & continued waiting for the second meal, after noticing other diners who had arrived after us were being served their meals we prompted the waitress asking what happened to the second meal ? Some confusion with the waitress when we placed our order & she had only ordered the one meal, at the end they apologised & gave us the second meal free which suddenly appeared within 3 minutes + gave us two complementary meal cards to be used during our next visit. Meals was rather bland even though they were a large in portion. Interior of the restaurant is spacious & appeared clean, we wouldn’t necessarily rush back.

Clean environment. Friendly staffThe meal was nice but the only thing i can fault is that they mixed our orders up. When we noticed they were quick to give me my side salad which was great. My partner had got my salad and sauce and my beef schnitzel was very small. I left still hungry.

Awesome food. Definitely love those salads with Schnitzel on top. It‘s great that you can choose from chicken, beef, pork and vegetarian option.

Total let down food wise but the staff were good. Had a vegan “snitzel” which was just a vegetarian patty burnt on one side and half cooked and cold on the inside. Chips were lukewarm and somewhat floppy. Had flavour though. I couldn’t finish it. Very disappointed as most places on the esplanade don’t have vegan options. Glad for the view at least.

This place was hands down one of my favourites in cairns!!! The staff are so lovely and the food was absolutely amazing. This is the best chicken i have ever had! The portion size was bang on perfect and my meal was only $13!!! could not be more happy with this place!! Wow

I had Mediterranean Salad at Schnits Cairns. It was something between 4 and 5 but I am giving 5 to support them. The portion of meal was good. The schnitzel was a bit dry and this is because they use large but thin chicken cuts. I suggest they use thicker cuts. Olives in salad very really tasty. They can add a bit more feta. Liked they idea that you could decide how much olive oil you could add to your salad. Overall: good
