What an awesome Tavern. Really nice and clean. Lovely staff who are polite and friendly. Excellent food and drinks and great service. So warm inside , definitely needed in winter. VIP room for poker machines and smoking allowed while playing them, light snacks offered and drinks service while playing the poker machines. Kids play area. Large parking area.I highly recommend the Ophir Tavern.

We have had lunch here several times and have always been satisfied with the meals (we generally select from the specials board) at lunch, however may select from menu next time because there are many good offerings.Staff are friendly, and you never know, you may have a bit of luck on Keno or a pokie if inclined.Full TAB facilities available too but that’s another day.Would recommend.

This is an amazing family friendly pub serving really good and generous meals. Quick and friendly service. Huge amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Kids had a great time in the playground too. Definitely would be back.

I am not a pub/tavern person so I was very impressed with The Ophir. Great little playground for my 3 yr old. My only grizzle was parents in the cabanas allowing thier feral kids to free range in the playground which made my Daughter uncomfortable. Lunch was very nice and worth the price I paid. Hotel is very clean and modern. Staff were very friendly and didn’t look like they wanted to be elsewhere. Will def return next time I visit Orange

Good food served quickly but the early kitchen closing on busy nights had me a bit stumped.Because the kitchen closes at 8:30pm on Saturday nights there is a rush to order around 8pm and we queued for more than half an hour to get our order in.Quite a shame as it did effect our enjoyment of the night and everything else was very good.

Normally it’s awesome meals at the Ophir up until we got served undercooked chicken, the chef was lovely and quick to resolve the issue except other rude kitchen staff who thought pink chicken “looks fine” “it just looks like that.”Once we got a our newly prepared meal it was half the size of the first chicken and a pathetic handful of chips.Will definitely be recommending my friends & family to go elsewhere from now on.

Just had the Angus Steak slowed cooked, it was tremendous, we are only in Orange for the night need a good steak and found it here. Highly recommend the steak here. Staff very friendly .
