Booked the table directly viewing the kitchen, which was such an amazing experience. If you are someone with sensitive lungs though I’d recommend against this spot as the kitchen gets quite smokey (understandably though as they have an open wood fire at the back) so would recommend a spot outside preferably at sunset, the view is so good. Food was spot on, the steak had a perfect level of charred exterior with a medium rare centre. Unfortunately they would have certainly received 5 stars from me had it not been for some of the most uncomfortable chairs I’ve ever sat on. This does sound a little superficial but it really did hamper an otherwise unforgettable experience.

Outstanding food and service! I had a lovey night with my friends on last Monday. Although the restaurant was busy but the service still was good and food was fast.I ordered quite a lots food for sharing 5 people and that all signature of Woodcut, especially raw beef for entree, loster & steak for main and chocolate skillet cake for dessert.Highly recommend!!

We had the 800g rib-eye steak shared between us it was perfectly cooked. The red wine jus and mustard that accompanied the steak were ok, I would have expected better. We also had their potato which was fantastic and their green beans. The only dish that I found really disappointing was their raw fish plate. The tuna that they supplied on this plate I think is below average for a restaurant like this. All in all it was a fantastic night. The food was beautiful and the location was fantastic. The staff were also very helpful and gave us really useful information about the meal that we were ordering and what items best accompanied other items.

A High end luxury restaurant. Be sure to reserve & a dress code is required. I have heard people complaining about being turned away because of their clothing. It is understandable once you dine here. lovely place for dinner. Found their dishes to be very clean eatable by most people. I was worried their dishes would have weird unusual ingredient tastes like other high end restaurants but i was surprised the dishes weren’t majorly foreign tasting and looking thank god. Im sure most people can relate to what i am saying. I had the john dory fish as the main. I really enjoyed their entree dishes as well. A massive selection of alcoholic drinks like i mean MASSIVE . Waiters were always alert & professional. Had no issues at all. A beautiful atmosphere inside. Will return in the future… they know what they are doing 👌🏻 A.Grade- Highly recommended.

The food and presentation is amazing. But a little bit pricey, especially the steak. Overall it was great to have dinner at woodcut. Would love to come back to try something else on the menu.

This was such a great experience from the moment we walked in the door! Can highly recommend a table at the kitchen counter. Watching the chefs prepare the food was both fascinating and exciting. We were welcomed by the senior chef (Daniele) who was so attentive and keen for us to understand the menu and how we could get the most out of it.We were staying upstairs so took our time and had a mixture of starters, mid-sized and a main. The octopus and steak tartare was smokey deliciousness. The pearl meat was beautifully balanced and we love the zucchini flower salad. The lamb was perfectly cooked and unashamedly fatty which protected the meat during cooking. All the meat is cooked on an open fire grill and it makes all the difference. For wine we had a great conversation with Emily the somelier who understood that we didn’t want to just have one bottle but instead explore by the glass. She was really excited to choose wines to complement what we ordered and split a single glass over two for each of the dishes. All up we were there for about 3 hours and had a wonderful time. It’s not cheap ($200+/head) but it shouldn’t be, especially when you see the level of care and attention that goes in to good preparation. Thanks Daniele and team, we’ll be back!Kid-friendliness: Possibly kid friendly for lunch but much more of an adult place for dinner.Wheelchair accessibility: Level entrance and accessible bathrooms.
