“Inspired by the European dining scene, where contemporary food and wine are served in an informal setting at affordable prices, Yellow offers vegan dining in the heart of Potts Point. Recognising a demand for plant-based dining in Sydney, chef Brent Savage and his team have created menus with a focus on interesting and heirloom vegetables, grown by local suppliers. Venue was nice and service from our waitress Samantha was nice. Some dishes took a long time to come out. We had a two hours sitting and went over by over 1 hour (we laid right after the final dish). Some dishes were excellent, very flavourful, others (carrot dish) was lacking in flavour. All in all a great option for vegans!

I loved the creativity of the vegan dishes. I felt that the pumpkin dish could improve. The portion is perfect for small eaters, but might be too little for hungry stomach. I wish that they could offer more bread. The service is good; the staff explained every dish to us. We ordered wine by glass – one of our glass of wine was sour and was not drinkable (my friend didnt mention it until the end, so we didnt bring it up to the staff). Overall, it was a good meal. It is not easy being a fully vegan restaurant so I still recommend this place despite some minor flaws.

Such a wonderful experience every time! The food is presented so beautifully and the tasting menu is really fun. The staff are all lovely and helpful. The vibe is fancy but not intimidating. I’d definitely take a food enthusiast here to impress them.

Good service with mediocre, small, portioned food.It was $105 plus $90 for matches wines or $70 for non-alcoholic pairings. The non-alcoholic pairings was not worth it, a few of the drinks did not pair well with the dishes. We came with another couple to try the degustation. The menu was interesting. There’s a lot of interesting flavours that I would have never thought to put together, but the portions are very small. There wasn’t a standout dish, some dishes needed to be seasoned properly. The barley dish is odd. I really missed the protein component in each dish, there are vegan/ vegetarian protein options.I understand it’s vegan/ vegetarian, but we basically received overpriced vegetables in small portions. The sommelier who served the matched wines seemed to speak to the rest of table not the person who ordered the matched wines, he very condescending. The décor seems unfinished as well, the ceilings have felt shapes overlaid on top of each other. It gives off the Newtown grunge feel. The walls look dirty with the rough paint job. The toilet door lock needs to be fixed as well. They do provide a nice sanitiser spray on the table.

Love the concept and the atmosphere, the food is beautiful, but I can’t shake the feeling that something is missing. Wouldn’t mind it if the main meal was a bit more substantial. The non-alcoholic drink pairing is an absolute recommendation.

Food was beautifully presented, staff were LOVELY, however considering how much it cost for the set menu, I was hoping that I wouldn’t be leaving hungry. I ended up going out to eat again later that night. I did ask for extra bread and it never arrived. Then the dessert came out so that’s when I realised it was too late to ask for it again. If it wasn’t so expensive I would be willing to give it another chance so unfortunately I won’t be back.

Went in with my partner for the special truffle dinner last night; it was a beautiful experience! Food was great (a lot of interesting flavour/texture combinations with the addition of classic European winter vegetables) – Staff were lovely. We found the portion sizes to be just right.
